This small little parish community along the edges of the gulf of Mexico and bordering the Texas/ Louisiana state line was completely devastated by Hurricane Rita. Not a structure was left standing. The city hall, town community and all it’s church structures are completely gone. Because this rural Cajun fishing community lay on the Bayou’s that run along the coast line it had little chance of avoiding the full wrath of Hurricane Rita.
The little town has had its share of troubles in the past but nothing quite like this. Creole Louisiana truly represents Louisiana and needs to be rebuilt. The very name stands for culture and perseverance and as such we want to see it rebuilt and return to even a better place than before. By adopting it as our sister city we are hoping that it can be rebuilt with your support and financial donations. It will take time but it needs help.
Below is a list of local agencies and community facilities that can benefit from your direct contributions. By giving directly to the people that have been affected you can guarantee those funds go directly to those that need it the most.
